AUGUST - BOOK
FOUNDATION - Super-genius psychohistorian Hari Seldon (seen in his wheelchair ^) predicts universal disaster thousands of years in the future, and leaves timed-release guidelines for future societies to follow to ensure humanity’s survival. The novel spans over hundreds of years, giving you short glimpses of eras and not much character development. What remains is compelling conflicts, especially concerning Hari Seldon’s predictions, for each generation. It’s always exciting when long-dead Hari Seldon makes a holographic appearance, roughly explains the current universal impending “crisis”, and just plainly tells everyone to chill the fuck out.
"I got this, yo."
Despite lacking a standard plot or character growth (and NOT A SINGLE FEMALE ANYWHERE), I kept wanting to read because I wanted to know if the character Hari Seldon was RIGHT about everything. And maybe he is…
It even said, “William, thank you for your purchase of my legacy via your Amazon Kindle in 2012. I am Hari Seldon LOL”
Which I found odd.
